The services provided by Metamorphose Counselling is engaging and collaborative, a transitional process that is challenging yet rewarding like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly.
Tricia-Kay Williams is a woman of colour who owns a private practice that specializes in counselling individuals, couples, and families. Tricia is skilled in treating Trauma, Anxiety, Transitional/Career and Relational issues. Tricia is also an active community and social services professional who worked for some years as a Residential Youth Worker and Co-Parenting Family Counsellor.

These are free resources for individuals, couples, and families to find support if access to help is a barrier. Our vision is to have honest conversations about real-life transitions that are rooted in the unexpected changes that life brings and to highlight how one can triumph and rise above those changes to become resilient.
Tricia has also been part of diversity, equity, and inclusion work for BIPOC people over the past two years. Advocating for safe spaces and fair opportunities for students, workers and residents in Ontario and British Columbia.
As a practicum student, you’ll be working closely with Tricia who
will provide you with support and help you gain essential skills needed to be career ready. We are
dedicated to developing successful counsellors and strive to make this practicum as supportive and
informative as possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for individuals who can work independently and within a team. These individuals must
have strong listening and communication skills with a good command of the English language. We prefer
individuals who are aware of the company’s focus on DEI and who embrace diversity initiatives in the
workplace. The individuals must also have excellent documentation skills and a deep understanding of
confidentiality, ethics, and safety protocols within counselling. The individuals must be able to
successfully execute these skills in a professional work manner.
- Building a relationship of trust and respect with clients.
- Providing counselling online to individuals, families, or couples using effective skills and tools.
- Keeping confidential records and maintaining an ethic practice in counselling.
- Effectively documenting and providing client summaries to supervisor.
- Identifying steps to transition clients to next session.
Requirements and Qualifications
- The ideal person will have an interest in making a positive impact on the world, is interested in starting their own business or would like to work in the mental health field.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality regarding client information as this business serves a vulnerable population.
- Currently enrolled in a MA Psychology program.
